Narrative Photography: The Story
Lights shining in my eyes, the crowds going wild from behind the curtains, and the words to the music just trying to break free from behind my lips. My heart’s beating fast inside my chest as I’m getting ready to go on stage. Everyone’s screaming and cheering for the music to begin and for the first time I’m ready to sing in front of a crowd. The music starts and the words ready to come out of my mouth. I’m finally able to sing but then everything stopped and I closed my eyes and opened them again and saw my dog sitting in front of me with his head tilted. It was all a dream, a dream that felt so real and made me feel so happy and alive. Well, guess I’ll just have to keep dreaming instead of living.
I got up from bed and got ready for school. Oh great, have to go to school. Everyday is the same and repeats over and over and over again. I wish I were able to be living a celebrity life already and getting up late like at noon, singing lyrics all day, and best of all, the parties at night. Celebrities have the funnest lives out of anyone else in this world. Living this normal life is just the same and boring.Living this normal life is just the same and boring, people need more entertainment in theirs lives and make the fullest of it.
In school that day, it was a big blur. First hour I couldn’t even stay awake. We watched the movie of Romeo and Juliet. We were at the part when Romeo climbed up to Juliet’s room and told her he was in love with her even though they didn’t know each other. Second hour we had to combine chemicals together to make the liquids erupt. Then it was lunch and it was kind of quiet since people were gone for sports again. Then back onto work during third hour and got 2 pages of math homework done so I wouldn’t have anything to do when I’d get home. Finally fourth hour was gym. Gym was the best class I had all day, it’s one of my favorite classes of all. We got to play volleyball but not very many people on my team were as into the game as 2 of the other players and I.
After I had gotten home from school I went straight to my room and looked at my lyric book. I had so many pages filled up with thoughts of music that I wanted to put together and try to make a song but I was still wondering how I was going to do that. A couple times the song would sound weird or out of the subject of what the song was suppose to be but its getting better. Who would’ve thought making a song would be so difficult. Then again it’d better a lot easier if I had more time and a lot more dedication on this song.
Months pass and the talent show was in 2 weeks. Everyone was getting ready to perform their talent and me as always just sitting out and not participating again. I’ve only judged a talent show once and to tell you the truth it was kind of sleepy but oh well it’s in the past. This year there were so many acts and finally I was able to be in the talent show. Just like my dream I was standing behind the curtains waiting for my turn to go and I finally did it. I sang my song that I worked hard on and it was great.
